Full description
This position is part of the Industry & Solutions Partner Team in the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a world-class Partner Development Specialist (PDS) to grow the AWS Data & AI business — with deep emphasis on the data foundations that make Generative AI work — through consulting and technology partners in the Americas. AI outcomes are only as strong as the data underneath them, so this role centers on partners who can help customers modernize data platforms, build retrieval and grounding pipelines (RAG, vector stores, feature and embedding pipelines), and establish the data governance and quality needed to deploy AI responsibly at scale.

In this role you will develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies that enable AWS partners to build solutions, offerings, and new AI capabilities built on strong data foundations that meet the needs of their customers. You will serve as a Data & AI subject matter expert aligned to support partner management and partner sales teams — bringing genuine technical depth to partner and customer conversations, not just commercial fluency. You will think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges and dive deep into data to uncover opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
• Serve as a hands-on Data & AI subject matter expert who works backwards from customer needs with credible depth in the data foundations for GenAI (data platforms, RAG/vector databases, embedding and feature pipelines, data governance and quality for AI).
• Execute GTM strategy to grow the AWS Data & AI business through consulting and technology partners across the Americas.
• Support partners across stages of development — practice development, offering/solution development, enablement, and leveraging AWS programs — with a focus on AI solutions grounded in strong data architecture.
• Engage with partner management, field sales, specialist sales, solution architecture, and end customers to create and drive Data & AI revenue opportunities for AWS.
• Drive partner revenue through regular pipeline, opportunity registration, and business reviews to meet or exceed annual goals.
• Work and communicate with multiple stakeholders and drive strategic plans across solution architecture, worldwide GTM, partner management, and account management teams.
• Define business goals and develop and execute go-to-market plans at scale.

About the team
Diverse Experiences

AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.

Why AWS?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. Our continual innovation is fueled by the bold ideas, fresh perspectives, and passionate voices our teams bring to everything we do.

Mentorship & Career Growth

We’re continuously raising our performance bar as we strive to become Earth’s Best Employer. That’s why you’ll find endless knowledge-sharing, mentorship and other career-advancing resources here to help you develop into a better-rounded professional.

Work/Life Balance

We value work-life harmony. Achieving success at work should never come at the expense of sacrifices at home, which is why we strive for flexibility as part of our working culture. When we feel supported in the workplace and at home, there’s nothing we can’t achieve.
